WORLD WATER DAY:
CHURCH NEWS:
Last Sunday, we remembered the the anniversaries Ned & Mairead Chawke, the Cross and Eileen Noonan, Granagh. I measc na naofa go mbeidh síad I gcónaí.
Mass Requests can be taken in the Church every Thursday, Friday and Sunday, after Mass. Mass Cards/Bouquets are also available after any of the Masses.
Third Sunday of Lent: Our Trócaire family this year, Julio and Ilma and their four children, have suffered repeatedly at the hands of erratic weather due to global warming. Dependent on their crops to feed their families and earn an income, they now live on a knife edge not knowing when the unpredictable weather will destroy their only means of support. When that happens, they are pushed further into poverty, meaning that Julio has no choice but to leave his family to find other work. Please support the Trócaire campaign this year, and give whatever you can.
“ We pray that individuals, communities and policy makers can work together to build a just world where all people have access to their basic needs, such as food, water and education. “

WORLD WATER DAY:
World Water Day, held on 22 March every year since 1993, is an annual United Nations observance focusing on the importance of freshwater. World Water Day celebrates water and raises awareness of the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water. It is about taking action to tackle the global water crisis. Glaciers are melting rapidly, disrupting water flows and affecting millions through floods, droughts, and rising sea levels. Mitigating climate change and adapting to the loss of glaciers is essential to protect communities and ecosystems and securing vital water resources for the future.
