TROCAIRE:
Your support for Trócaire last year brought relief and hope to 2.7 million people around the world - you are changing people's lives.! This year they are focusing on Zimbabwe where the growing season was looking quite good, but then there were no rains in February or March and that changed everything.
Coupled with this year's disastrous harvest, is the effect of rising food prices. As in many countries around the world, including here at home, the war in Ukraine has seen the price of food and fuel sky-rocket in Zimbabwe in recent weeks. Items such as vegetable oil for cooking, salt, soap, sugar, batteries and candles are necessities, but the little money people have will now be spent on food. Education and payment of children’s school fees will not be a priority, unfortunately. If you have sent in your Trocaire box - Thank you. If you still wish to donate, you can do so online at www.trocaire.org
