Mass Requests can be taken in the Church every Thursday, Friday and Sunday, after Mass. Mass Cards/Bouquets are also available after any of the Masses.
St. Patrick's Day: Vigil mass in Ballingarry on Sun 16th at 7pm. Mon 17th, Mass in Granagh at 10am.
Choir Rehearsal: Wednesday 12th at 8pm, for Patrick's day Mass.
Second Sunday of Lent: The family on the Trócaire box this year are Julio and Ilma and their four children, who live in Guatemala, a country that is one of the least responsible for climate change but is one of those severely affected by it. The country is threatened by increasingly extreme weather, droughts, hurricanes, floods and landslides, which destroys their crops, leaving them hungry for weeks on end. For a days work, they earn the equivalent of €4.33...!!! Minimum wage, if they get it, is about €380 per month, just over €4,500 per year. Impossible for a family to live on ....
Please do what you can this Lent to support Trócaire who are trying to alleviate the effects of these inequalities and injustice. As we stand in solidarity with them, we also pray that our national and global leaders take the necessary actions for climate justice and listen to the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor. Find out more at trocaire.org. Trócaire boxes available in the Church.
