GRANAGH PLAYERS:

Rehearsals continuing this week but they are getting next week off . Hopefully they get a bit of a rest & eat plenty, to build up a bit of bulk, for a gruelling January.! Everyone is run off their feet at this time of year between work, exams, end-of-year parties, events, Santa and planning a Christmas dinner !! You are just settling into the Christmas lull when next thing the play dates are looming. Thanks to the Producer and cast for all the work and time they give to provide us with great entertainment in the long month of January.

To clarify regarding, language in the play. The author, Padraic McIntyre, uses what you might call ‘colourful’ everyday language in his script - there will be a few f ** words. We feel that it is not suitable for young children’s ears, parents can decide for themselves.

Performance Dates, ‘Send ‘Em Home Sweatin’: Jan 24th, 25th & 26th. And the second weekend, Jan 31st, Feb 1st & 2nd at 8pm. Shop & Raffle nightly.

END-of-YEAR WISHES:

It’s a tricky time of year, some people can’t wait for it to finish and more can’t wait to start off a new one. We have all been through a busy and eventful year and probably cannot remember half of what happened in the world. Of course, all the bad events, which seem to be on the increase, remain in our minds. Living life, day to day, we are very much dependant on our local community for support. We thank all who are involved in voluntary groups who spend their time catering for others in the parish. We thank Canon Tom, Kathleen and all involved in the Church groups. We thank the Teachers, Staff and Parents Association of the School. We say thanks to all who are Carers, Nurses & Doctors. Thanks to our local business’s who supply necessary services and provide employment. Thanks to the people who are generous with their Talents, like music, singing, dancing, craftwork, but especially their Time, to help others who are in need.

We remember those who have been ill during the year, those in recovery and especially those who have lost family & friends. We remember family who cannot be home for Christmas and send good wishes all around the world.

Christmas gives us the opportunity to pause & reflect on the important things around us. Wishing all parishioners a Peaceful and Relaxing Christmas and a New Year that brings good Health, Happiness & Contentment.
