MONTH's MIND:
The Month's Mind Mass for Michael Daffy, will be held on Friday 8th Sept at 7.30pm.
CANNONBALL '17:
Friday 8th Sept,Cannonball Ireland, the largest three-day road trip in Europe, is coming to Limerick ! This trip typically features 190 cars including some of the world's top makes -McLaren, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche, Masseratti, Rolls Royce and Bentley.It's a three-day party devoted to cool cars – driving cars, looking at cars, talking about cars – while touring through some of Ireland’s most beautiful landscapes. This three-day road trip is an experience of a lifetime.
Beginning at the 3 Arena on Friday , they head to Cork and plan to be arriving in Pery Square, around 6pm. Cannonball Ireland has raised over 900,000 euro for Irish Charities, this year, Pieta House will be Cannonball Ireland's charity.
LOURDES INVALID FUNDRAISER:
On Sunday 10th September next, Croagh/Kilfinny GAA Club will host a spectacular hurling match The All Stars v The Politicians in aid of the Lourdes Invalid Fund. The Fund hopes to raise €10,000 to send locals from County Limerick to Lourdes in the coming weeks. Many of our Local and National politicians will line out against a star-studded team of our most famous hurlers and the ash won't be spared.!!
A celebrity referee has also been sourced to keep the peace and the sliotar moving.!
The Councillors and Politicians and The All-Stars will play their part for this worthy cause and you can also play your part by turning out to support the event and encourage your friends and families to support it also.
The throw-in next Sunday in Croagh is at 12 noon.
Hoping for great support and a good turnout so please arrive early and enjoy the craic and the friendly (or unfriendly) banter.
GIVE BLOOD:
The next opportunity to give blood will be on Monday/Tuesday 11th & 12th Sept, 6pm - 9pm, Scoil Mhuire & Íde, Newcastle West.

This September Ballyhoura Development are hosting a number of " Learning Showcases " across the region.
This is a wonderful opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to find out about upcoming courses, training options and the variety of Ballyhoura Development Learning Programmes that are available.
All courses are free of charge..
Whether you’re interested in short term courses in art, cookery, health & beauty, personal development, reiki, aromatherapy, upholstery & upcycling or longer term courses like IT Level 3, Communications Level 3, or perhaps looking for a change in direction through the Local Training Initiative in Catering Support or Outdoor Recreation, then be sure to attend.
The Ballyhoura Development team will be there to encourage and guide you towards making the right choice for you!
