HARVEST MASSES:

This year there will be two Harvest Masses of Thanksgiving. On the 1st/2nd Oct we are remembering members of our families, over the generations, who passed on the faith to us. To do this we are asking each family to bring along a little pot plant and place it in an old shoe/boot/wellie, and tag it with the family name. These will be left in the Church for the month of October.

On the weekend of 8/9th Oct, we are asked to think of how blessed we have been in our lives over the past year. People are invited to donate whatever non-perishables they can, to help out the needy and those who are not so privileged.

MARATHON:

The Glen of Aherlow 42km Trail Marathon is taking place on this coming Saturday 17th Sept. Johnny Sexton, who works in the Aftersales department in Cavanaghs, is taking part and any sponsorship money he raises is going to

Liskennett Farm. If you would like to support him, drop into Cavanaghs any time.
